T1 declaration for your route
01 / T1 FOR YOUR ROUTE
A T1 customs document is used mainly for non-Union goods moving under customs supervision to the customs office of destination.
We prepare T1 declarations for shipments from French ports and other cargo locations, as well as routes to or through France. Tell us where the cargo is and where it needs to go.
For a departure from France, send the cargo address and destination abroad. For an arrival, include the collection location and delivery address in France. Add ferry details if your route crosses the Channel.
02 / DETAILS TO PREPARE
Start with the details below. What else we need will depend on your cargo and route.
You do not need to wait until you have every document. Send what you have, and we will let you know what else is needed.

We prepare T1 declarations for cargo leaving, entering or passing through the country.
We prepare T1 declarations for cargo leaving French ports, including Dunkirk and Calais. Send the cargo location, destination abroad and transport documents so we can confirm the departure and destination customs offices.
We prepare the T1 declaration for your shipment to France. Send the origin, delivery location and cargo documents. For a UK–France roll-on/roll-off crossing, we can also prepare the ELO border reference where required.
We prepare T1 declarations for routes that pass through France on the way to another country. Share the complete journey and transport mode for each stage so we can confirm which customs offices to use and whether one declaration can cover it.
T1 does not necessarily start or end at the border. We confirm the customs offices of departure and destination for your route.

We confirm the work and price before we start.
We review your cargo documents and route, identify the customs offices and confirm the price. For a port departure, include the cargo location; for a Channel crossing, add the ferry details.
The customs guarantee covers duties and taxes that may become payable if transit requirements are not met. It is not cargo insurance and does not cover loss or damage to the goods.
We use these details to calculate the guarantee and quote for your declaration. We will ask if anything is missing.
Declaration preparation time does not include border queues or customs checks.
The cost of a T1 document depends on where transit starts, the guarantee amount, the number of line items on the declaration and the type of cargo. Special rates apply to some cargo categories. We confirm your price before starting work.
