T1 for German ports, warehouses and airports
A T1 customs document is used mainly for non-Union goods moving under customs supervision to the customs office of destination.
We prepare declarations for cargo dispatched from German ports, customs warehouses and airports, as well as shipments travelling to or through Germany. Tell us where your cargo is and where it needs to go.
For departures, send the cargo location in Germany and the destination abroad. For arrivals, send the departure country and delivery location in Germany. Include the transport mode for each stage, especially if the route combines road and rail.

What we agree before starting
We review the cargo documents and route, identify the customs offices and confirm the price. For departures from Germany, include the port, warehouse or airport where the goods are held.

- Answering T1 questions and helping with customs requests during transit.
The customs guarantee covers duties and taxes that may become payable if transit requirements are not met. It is not cargo insurance and does not cover loss or damage to the goods.

Can one T1 declaration cover a route through several countries?
Yes, one T1 declaration can cover transit through several countries. This depends on the goods, route and guarantee. Send the full route and transport modes so we can confirm which stages the declaration will cover.
Can T1 start from a customs warehouse in Germany?
We handle departures from customs warehouses. Whether T1 can start at a particular warehouse depends on the goods and the customs arrangements at that location. Send the warehouse address, cargo details and destination so we can check the starting point.
What do I need to prepare for a T1 declaration?
Send an invoice or pro forma invoice, your route and any customs offices you already know. Include the packing list and CMR if available. We will tell you if anything else is needed.
Do rail and road transport need separate T1 declarations?
For shipments handled by Transify, we prepare a separate T1 for the rail stage rather than combine it with the road stage. Tell us which parts of your route use rail and which use road.
What affects the price of a T1 declaration?
The starting point, route, guarantee amount, cargo type and number of line items on the declaration all affect the price. We review these details and give you a quote before preparing the T1.
